Don’t worry, we haven’t fallen off the face of the Earth 🌎 We’re closing out a wonderful 2025 with some time to breath. And if you’ve been by the shop, you’ve seen that it’s probably best we stay out of the way while construction happens 🚧 Here’s to a parking lot face-lift coming in 2026 🎉
This time of year we like to do a little recap of the ending year. Each one has had a “theme” it seems. 2025 was a year of boundaries. Not feeling compelled to say yes to everything. Realizing limits are necessary for quality work. It’s tough when the ideas seem endless, but the capacity to carry them out? Not so much 🙃
In 2025, we went through a slight (seemingly forced 🙄) rebranding. It was mostly behind the scenes, but key in leaving behind a few stresses that we dealt with for too long. Now known as The Dining Room DBA Hummingbird House Catering. It’s like a punch in the gut when someone tries to take away something you’ve worked so hard to create. But we’re leaving that in the past 👋 it doesn’t deserve anymore of our time or care ❤️🩹
This year felt different from the others. 1-3 felt like continuous “newness” and growth. 4 felt like easing into a rhythm, keeping what worked and tossing what didn’t. And 5? Can’t wait to see what it brings! Hoping for maybe “experience and confidence” 😁 I’ve always wondered at what point the nervous butterflies stop. When it all starts to feel comfortable and familiar. When the pressure (probably self-inflicted 😅) to “become more” ends and we just are what we are. I think we’re just about there 🤏
Thank you all for another awesome year. We promise to call/text/email you back soon 😉 In the meantime: clean out the fridge, get ready for another round of deliciousness in the coming weeks AND help us gear up for a very special 5th birthday celebration!
